VISMA is a next-generation fungicide combining Pyraclostrobin and Boscalid to provide broad-spectrum disease control. Boscalid, from the carboxamide class (SDHI chemistry), disrupts the energy production system of fungal cells, while Pyraclostrobin, a strobilurin fungicide, targets the QoI site. The dual-action on two different sites of the fungus ensures effective elimination and superior plant health.

MODE OF ACTION:

  • VISMA works through the synergy of two systemic fungicides:
    1. Pyraclostrobin (QOI Fungicide): Inhibits mitochondrial electron transport, blocking the energy supply to the fungus, leading to its death.
    2. Boscalid (SDHI Fungicide): Disrupts the fungal cell’s electron transport chain, inhibiting various stages of fungal development, such as spore germination, germ tube elongation, appressoria formation, and mycelial growth.
